Unusual vase of flowers - can you guess what they are?

I loved these when I saw them in the garden, pretty and could not resist cutting them and putting them in a vase.

Mint and Fennel?

not carrots, but definitely mint and something lol have
another go, you are thinking on the right lines though. lol
Looks like fennel, I used to have fennel in the big border it was a bronze leaf and lovely yellow flower very much like this flower Janey.

ok - last year I planted parsnips which have not all been eaten, they are now going to seed and these are the beautiful yellow flowers they produced. You were nearly right girls, well done. Beautiful yellow umbrels, thinking of planting parsnips in the borders now lol :oO)

Yes worth having for those umbels Oliveoil, and of the carrot family Karen, you were right there! Have you tasted the seeds, I wonder if they're sweet like parsnips??

I think carrot flowers look pretty much the same as this too. HMm...I bet the seeds are nice to eat!
