Michaella it is Cerastium tomentosum, they have been selling it in Morrisons this week :o)

Sorry to have jumped in Hb! It spreads slowly here too on my clay but others say they have a problem with it invading :o))

Looks lovely but if not restricted can be very invasive. It took me years to eradicate it from my garden completely.

Have seen this plant growing happily on a roadside bank, a garden escape. It was quite damp & shady there too. I guess it isn't too fussy as long as it's not sticky clay that it can't get it's roots into easily.

Mine is in a dry position in front of a tree...rubbish soil,but it flourishes..I find it easy to pull out what I don't want too..last pic posted, on 'front border' not long ago..great gap filler :o) It's just going over now,but nice foliage colour anyway..
