My lollipopped holly, Golden King has grown too big for me to clip the top.

Hi Karen sorry so long answering, but modem gave up the ghost. Under the canopy I have Brunnera, lamium, welsh poppies, pulmonaria, geum ...erm ...aquilegia ... erm ...I think that's about it:-))

Thanks Ba...computer problems - you have my sympathies... :(
I've tried geum, it really wasn't happy...but lamium and pulmonaria...definitely worth a try. Thank you! :))

Lamium grows anywhere I think and if it spreads too far, not hard to get out. I love the leaves, I have beacons silver and pink Nancy. This year I'm happy to see what I think is a hybrid between the two, it has beacon silver type leaves and pink flowers\0/:-)

I've got tons of the wild stuff, so I know it'll definitely work. Might have difficulty finding any particular variety, around here, though...!
Lucky you, Ba! Nature doing it's own thing! Perhaps, you could name it after you! :)))

I already have;-))

Just thought, I wonder if it's possible for me to send you some lamium without it being dead on arrival?:-)

Oh Ba...that would be lovely, if you could. I've just had lots of water plants delivered, wrapped in wet newspaper, in plastic bags...but, it was only from Charente Maritime...

I wonder how long it would take to reach you? Shall we give it a go? I find it spread like mad once it gets going and it's very easy to increase. It would be nice to think a bit of my garden was in France:-)

It looks so lush :)
I wish I could get things to grow like that, under my elderly (no - stately!) wisteria, Ba...
...if you don't mind me asking, what've you got under there?
