Markhamia lutea - Nile Tulip Tree Flowers

Markhamia lutea - Nile Tulip Tree Flowers (Tradescantia zebrina - Wandering Jew)

This is one of my favorite golden-yellow flowers trees, with very sweet, fragrant flowers. This my tree growing in the back yard. Photo taken June 15, 2013.

I like that. I wonder of it can do well enough up here?

I've tried growing this tree several times up in the SF Bay Area. This tree never survived. It's pretty tropical native to the Congo region of Africa.

I have several if you want to try one. I'm going up to the SF Bay Area in the next couple of weeks. PM me if you're interested.
