Huge blooms like a teacup. About 25-30 feet tall. I really couldn't figure this one out. Beautiful tree.

It's a liriodendron (common name is the tulip tree). The leaves are very distinctive. An excellent picture of one in flower

It was stunning. Thanks for the ID. I wish I'd have backup for one with the whole tree. The scale was as impressive as the flower.
