For some unknown reason, only one has appeared this year!!

K they do look stunning planted in a group, alas this was the only one, where the others are heaven knows!! I dont sleep, so I stay up until I feel tired, can be 1 am sometimes!!
HB they can take as long as 3 years........

Reminds that that a not too local GC should have these in about now - must make the trip as they sell the largest roots that I've seen.
I'm a chronic insomniac too DD - five hours a night is an excellent nights sleep here, four is more normal.

Frustrating though Meanie (sleep, or lack of it!!) I read that Eremurus do not like too much competition perhaps that is why only one of ours flowered, this one was planted on it's own......if only I could find the others I could give them some space!!

Sounds like I have just the spot then!
I can deal with the insomnia - once very three weeks or so I just crash for fifteen hours or so. Generally I don't feel tired, so as long as I crash it's ok.

oh, I love these! And what a stunning colour! I've never tried to grow them.....one day! I love that you put your pics on so late/early Angela.....I enjoy seeing them in the morning! Wish I could stay up late, but I seem to need a lot of sleep...always been like that!
