Very neat :)

Extremely. Lol.

How striking - I also would be fascinated. ( And regularly "combed" by that beautiful tree - not an entrance for hat-wearers!)

There are Acers Negundo Flamingo and Japan cherry trees. I think, they are enough high. You can keep your hat on.

I never wear one, Katarina, but couldn't resist the comment! It seems very low over the gate. But so beautiful!

Yes, this is very good idea (Cyprus combo with acers and cherry tree), but too late for me.

Have you seen any pictures of "living walls", Katarina? They are fascinating and I would love to see one in Liverpool or Manchester!

No. What is it?

Basically, it is the practice of clothing the outside of a building (often a tall one like an office block) with plants. They have to be planted in troughs like miniature terraces, and there has to be a system for watering them. I have also seen an intereior wall in the home of a contemporary artist (I can't remember who). They are evry attractive, and enhance the environment considerably.

If you have link to some of them, please, forward it to me.

Here goes!

Otherwise, just search living walls on Google images. There's a good selection.

The link is invalid, Melchi. But I will have a look on another one.

Do you have Google search? I just typed in "living walls".

Oh, yeah, vertical gardens. Beautiful. Do you know Hundertwasser? I love his houses in Vienna.

Those are fantastic, Katarina - i love them!

Hundertwasser originally projected the blocks of flats you can see there - for poor. But when the work was done the price rised so high that flats became available just for rich. One feels so good there. There are even waterfalls running down the walls, no corners, strange shapes of rooms and balconies with trees...

It looks amazing - what a place to live!
