we have one my girls called maurice[french accent when you say it] he had a thin black line on his upperlip like a thin moustache. he would suck his food in, spit it out , repeat 3 times then swallow. he did this evry time we fed him much to the girls delight. sadly he died 2 yrs ago but we had him for 18 yrs so cant complain.

Seaburngirl .some do seem to have a degree of intelligence have a White Koi which comes to one end of the pond and blows large bubbles to attract my attention that he wants to be fed, he can make so much noise doing it that I can hear some yards away.
