I like the color on this one BA. I like to grow dahlias in general and will see if I can find a tuber of "art deco".

Eeek!! To think you might have lost these by waiting so long BA, you coulda carried them on your head!! Next time take one of those carriers that have a band for your head..and the bag goes on your back, you know, like the african women do..great idea that!

Erm...I'll give that one a miss thanks Tet, have thought about taking the folding plastic carty things you buy from shows though. Just need a little courage:-))

They sound a good idea BA..just one teensy drawback...you made them sound sort of..small..but I've never been to posh shows so never seen them. Will they go on a bus or do I need to hire Eddie Stobbart?

They'll go on a bus, but shop in walking distance:-)

I do love them Summer, but don't have a greenhouse. If I leave them in their pots and just bring them into the garage and don't water them, will they survive? :-)

My local greengrocer has diversified and for the last few years has been selling plants. For weeks I walked past his trestle outside his shop in the Square ogling these dahlias, but somewhat laden with bags. In the end I couldn't resist and bought two. Wouldn't mind more they were £3.99 for a big plant. They're still in the pots and moved to gaps:-))
