Meadow no 2

This is my favourite of the two. Again, a pretty bad photo! I have counted over a dozen different plants in it, including at least five grasses. It also had a poppy, and I shall sprinkle some seeds from the back garden poppies. There's quite a lot of campanula in it. When do you stop, though - they arrived on their own, but are not really meadow plants. But then, this is not really a meadow! Anyway - next month, I shall cut it down and stop worrying until next year, when I can begin all over again! One thing - it has sure pleased a lot of bees!

Bees versus car parks?
Bees every time!

Certainly! Our car has to live on the road. I think ours is the only house in the road without a drive/parking area in the front garden. (That's the way it was when we bought it, and we've never done anything about it. The only problem is that we have to park under a sycamore so it gets covered in honeydew. It's a bit of a wasp magnet in late summer)

Could be worse...think of the damage, if it was a soft top!

Yes - it is much better than the other side, yet this is the one under a rather large whitebeam. I think I'll be sprinkling the poppy seeds very soon.

That would be lovely, Homebird. I'll PM you.

Well, you've partially answered my question on the other meadow photo, Mel. Always good to keep our bee-friends happy.
