Loving this weather I imagine..

Yes the 42 I planted last year are really thriving with sun and the dry conditions

You planted 42 of these Drc? It must be a beautiful sight.

Yes they were free from a magazine Klahanie and replaced my old worn out ones, they have made lovely size plants this year and have flowered too.

I can see that, lovely even as one plant. Looking forward to more pictures . I love lavenders :-)

Still hot in UK?

19 Jul, 2013

Hotter than hell , Klahanie .
( Hope that we'll never know .)

:-)

It was 32 degrees here Klahanie and will reach 35 next week which is hot for the UK.

It is hot for everywhere. It does not go so hot here on the Vancouver island. It was 28 today and I thought it was plenty hot. 35 can be dangerous. Take care Drc.

Lovely lavenders and they have done so well this year. I have 5 little bushes. The bees and butterflies love them. I keep picking a few flowers for indoors.

What magazine was this, Drc & would I buy it? Lol.
Lovely photo & I love lavender, incindently.

They repeated that Lavender offer again this year Mouldy and its Gardeners'World mag. I get it on subscription for £25 per year and get so many free plants/bulbs from it that I reckon the mag is free - July was 48 free perennials and August its 100 free Allium bulbs Mouldy. This Lavender does not flop over so keeps looking good.

I had Hidcote lavender when we lived down the road and it was really lovely and as you say it doesn't flop over. I have two lavenders now and have just taken some cuttings to see if they will grow on for next year. (The old fashioned long flowered one and one that has a little cap on the top.)

Thanks, Drc!
Another Goyer advised me to take out a sub, but with everything suddenly bursting forth in the garden it slipped my tiny little mind, so you've given me a timely reminder. :-)

They have a subcription offer at the moment 5 issues for £5 and free bulbs in August, September and October issues, in all 336 bulbs. I am just doing a blog about the bulbs this month

What a wonderful person you are!
I have to visit the city centre on Thurs, so will pick up a copy then.
Thanks again.
