Daphne x burkwoodii 'Moonlight Sonata'

Daphne x burkwoodii 'Moonlight Sonata' (Daphne x burkwoodii)

My newest daphne just arrived today. It looks just like Brigg's Moonlight but is supposedly more vigorous.

Thanks, me too. I have already taken a couple cuttings and got some more dip-n-grow so hopefully I can get a couple back-up plants. The temps have cooled off some and the cuttings are firm enough that I should be able to get at least one rooted. The leaves don't produce much chlorophyll so they don't root quite as easy, it would probably graft easier. Have you seen any daphnes like this over there? I have seen one called 'Golden Treasure' that is prettier than this one and is supposed to grow better but it is not available in the US. I have contacted a few places in the UK trying to get one but US customs make it very difficult to get plants sent here.

Never seen any with that much variegation, more often the light part is on the outside edge of ones I have seen.

Yeah that is what most of them look like, there are only three varieties I know of that look like this- Brigg's Moonlight, Moonlight Sonata and Golden Treasure. I am hoping Golden Treasure will be available in the US soon, I have seen it listed in UK catalogs online but it could be a long time before any make it over here.
