I love pot marigolds; I have them all through the garden, letting them seed and trans-plant the seedling in between roses and other plants. On a personal note; I have visited North and south-west Wales (Tenby) but until this year, had never been to Glamorgan. Living in North Suffolk six miles from the cold North Sea, we noticed the difference!
When we first visited Rhoose in late June, our roses where in bud, but not open, but when we arrived to meet some people living at Rhoose Point, over-looking the Bristol Channel, all the beautiful gardens were in full
bloom! Due no doubt to mild climate, facing south, being close to the sea
Two weeks ago, on another visit to Rhoose, for a few days, we visited the lovely and interesting Cowbridge,
and down to the sea at Ogmore. We also visited a long-lost relative in Mountain Ash; a man, born in Mauritius, who now talks with a strong Rhondda accent!
