NEW CREAM MARIGOLD:-)

NEW CREAM MARIGOLD:-)

I bought three different marigold seeds from ebay. This is the first bloom on the cream ones. I couldn't sow them at the right time it was too cold. I haven't sown the pink ones yet, I'll wait 'til next year:-)

Thanks Shirley, I just thought that I would like to try marigolds as they're easy to grow, but didn't want the bright orange or yellow ones. Rather pleased with this one, they're from Russia and the instructions were in Russian!:-)

I hope you found a translator then! I planted Marigolds on the allotment last year, allegedly a companion plant to deter pests, not really convinced, but the plants have come up again this year.

Lol Amy ... I don't even like Orange Marigolds so it's a good job they're on the plot and not in my garden!

Beautiful....Great plants

Thanks all, I assume these self seed like the normal ones. Anyone interested, go on ebay and just type russian marigold seeds in the search box and you'll see lots of lovely ones. The seller also sells other plant seeds too. They were only 99p per packet too. I just went on to check my facts and clicked on 'sellers shop' and saw more things I want ... oh noooo ...they even have massive tomato tree seeds!:-))

Lol Ba ... you must learn to say nyet immediately!

I'll practice that, thanks Shirley:-))

What a lovely change that makes. It is a favourite colour of mine and I shall look out for it.
We have a neat row of little orange ones in the veg patch but I would love some like yours next time.

Ba - I'm quite taken with them so will ask daughter to order some as I don't do eBay shopping! :o)

Hi Chris, family gone? Glad you like them, thinking about it, I'll probably have a few seeds myself if anyones interested:-)

25 Jul, 2013

I've bought loads of plants off ebay, some of the larger nurseries sell through it too Shirley like West country Nurseries:-)

I don't like to keep pestering Sarah to order things for me ... one day I shall be brave and learn how to do it by myself! :o)

25 Jul, 2013

It's easy, even I can do it, though I suppose at the start I had my daughter show me what to do:-)

No BA, the family are soon to return in greater numbers than before! We have been away on holiday and I am trying to keep in a relaxed holiday state for as long as pos to build me up for the 'VISIT'......4 in our house, 2 in a tent in the garden and my sister in law in a B and B down the road.......I am tempted to join her!!

25 Jul, 2013

Lol Chris, that's what I'd do too:-)

27 Jul, 2013

Lol Shirley, don't think BA has learned to say Nyet (or ever will!) but while she finds great plants like this, praps we should be saying Da, BA! This is a little cracker. Put me on your seed list please BA?

This is lovely, quite different, can't wait to see the pink ones. Can I go on your seed list too, please. Keep taking pods off Delps... will soon be sending!

There's another unusual one I sowed late which will be in flower soon, I'll put a pic on when it does. Let's hope the seeds come true otherwise we'll all have gardens full of impossible to get rid of marigolds:-( Now you must all remind me about seeds when I forget:-))
