Our gunnera is 10+ years old and never gets bigger than this. I wish it would...there is a lots of room there.

Can you grow it in the pot indefinitely Holly or will you have to put it in the landscape one day?

I can put it into the garden if I need to. I put it in a pot when we moved house....

Mines in a large pot doing well this year leaves are big and it has a flower...
