Thats what I like to see , well done Paul lovely fresh fruit and veg . the only thing you have that we haven't is Broccoli we have good years and bad with that ! new baby carrots are my favourite veg :o) We have family staying at the moment which means we have been going out days I've been freezing the Raspberries each day ..

We had our eldest and his girlfriend here for dinner tonight Amy so all the above is gone now.(well half the cabbage is left for another day) I pulled another cabbage and cut another piece of Calabrese(Broccoli) and gave them along with some of these beans to take home.Olivia(son's girlfriend ) was chuffed. This Calabrese is a micro variety which is better as I can grow it under my mesh covered frame(the usual varieties are too tall to go under the frame)so the cabbage whites don't get on them or the Cabbages. They have one large head each and when cut off they produce lots of small florets.

The Micro Sounds a useful one to have Paul, Good info .! I though we had the cabbage whites fooled this year with frames and netting covering them but still they are able to get in Grrr ! the runner beans have lots of flowers and are coming on well ...

Yes, they get in when u think it's completely sealed don't they. But we can console ourselves that even the professionals have the problem.Monty mentioned it last night that a cabbage white had got into his net covered frame!

(Mouldy looks at the rasps, looks at the low sodium, then, with a shudder, pushes the rasps aside & opts for the healthy salt to flavour his manly porridge). ;-)
A good crop, Paul.

I remember my 1st taste of macaroni pudding, Paul.
It made my then girlfriend howl with laughter!
I assumed it was macaroni cheese, so it was a shock to my tastebuds & perception.
I guess it's just a matter of what foods were introduced to as wee children. Lol.

Yes, we used to have macaroni as a sweet dish as a kid.Mind you, that and dice pudding was all my mum could cook...oh, and apple pies.Everything else came out of a tin or pack I think!!!

We all learnt to cook, as kids, which was probably why I spent several years in the catering trade.
It don't half impress the girls. ;-)

But for now, I'll just take my girl to the local Beefeater, as I did tonight, to celebrate 35 years together today(not married,...that's a mere 33 years and 1 month...but 35 years ago today!)
