Last year, just as the first buds were beginning to open, this plant was smashed to bits by persons unknown & strewn over the path, hence the reason for my photo this year, because this year it escaped destruction.

Good idea, M. One has to be glad tho' that they took out their bad feelings on a plant & not an animal or a person.

A wonderful specimen, such a shame someone destroyed it, but so pleased to hear you have saved some seed. hopefully we will be able to admire it in your garden next year;0)
