It's beautiful. I lost so many to slugs in previous years that I leave them alone now. Having seen this, I think I should have another go next year.

Andrewr swears by copper bands around plants, so I'm going to give them a go next year to repel the slugs.

I've heard that. The balance in my garden is pretty good now, and the pests are at an acceptable level. I will definitely plant some next year and see how they fare. Nothing ventured, nothing gained!

There's a thought...Mouldy's miscreant youth, the removal of his mother's copper piping & it's replacement by plastic, the profit margin, as the price for scrap copper was high at the time & Mouldy's mater's subsequent fury, upon discovering her 15yr old's ingenuity.
Happy days! Lol.
