I love achillea. I got a terracotta one last year. It has done really well this year, except that it has turned yellow. I'm a little bit disappointed...

Strange, isn't it? I saw this before I saw your other photo. Mine's even yellower. Here's hoping for next year!

Perhaps they are meant to fade Mel?..Did you grow the terracotta last year?

I did, Moti, and it was a true terracotta colour. This year one flower was a pale terracotta before fading, but all the others were yellow from start to finish. I think it has reverted.

Funny you should say that Mel....I was reading in Garden News last night that 'terracotta' does turn yellow and eventually cream....I didnt know that, did you?....:>)

No. I didn't. Does that mean the flowers naturally turn from terracotta through to cream each season, or is the change permanent?

Just each season, starting terracotta, yellow, then cream....

Well - let's hope so. 8 of mine started off yellow! They are cream now, though.

Nature is a strange thing Mel.....

Yes - it would be boring if we could predict everything! They still look nice.
