Oh hello Amy ... I hope you are well and enjoying the sunshine today. I have been given five shrubs from a friend who is 'down-sizing' to a flat ... sadly it has no garden ... lucky me to have these ... :o)

I like pittosporum a lot. It is used a lot on Scilly for hedging to protect the fields of daffodils.

I read that as 'Sicily' at first! I like the idea of it as hedging, Wildrose. When this grows too big I should be able to clip it to a good shape.

Thanks Amy ... her new flat does have a balcony which I imagine will soon be filled with pots & containers ... the weather is just how I like it ... warm, dry and sunny .. long may it last!
