Confused rhododendron 'Ramapo'

Sorry to hear that Katarina. This one is well watered all summer and doing very well. I hope that it will save some flowers for the spring.
Rhodies are very finicky they need just the right amount of water. They say most of them die for lack of water or too much of it. One of my old rhododendron died because of too much water.

Irrigation is not all what they need, Klahanie. If the air is very dry, the water evaporates quickly and plants with leaves like rhodies are suffering. Rhodies like cooler areas with higher air humidity. In my parents garden rhodies were irrigated enormously every second evening and still had problems, they even didn´t bloom so much in June.
