This currently stands at 145cm tall (over 4 ft). I grew it from seed, and this is its first flower. I have several lining a daylily bed, and hopefully they will flower next year.
It is also known as the Pineapple Lily.

Excellent!
Sue has a huge potful with four flower spikes coming up. It's a bit of a picky booger apparently here in the UK.

I started a lot last year, and this is the first to bloom. Next year I'm hoping for a dozen.
They are not frost hardy, so in the UK you have to bring the bulbs & pots indoors (according to the RHS site).

We just keep ours in the shed dry. They maybe catch a slight frost but no harm is done.
