Bees dying on Eringium at Glamis

This was so sad to see.

Or were they just 'drunk' with so much nectar?? I saw something on TV about the bees in lavender fields overdosing on so much nectar that they look like they are dying, but are just tipsy!

We think Pam they really were dead .

So did you find out why? Were any of the garden staff able to explain??

Hate to see our beneficial insects dead,was there a night when there was a huge temperature drop?
Need to help our pollinators, s o sorry Kath.
