I am 56 years of age and live with my mum of 82 quite near to gatwick airport. We have a fairly large back garden with lawns and borders planted with a mixture of shrubs,trees and herbaceous.have about 40 pots now too.
I am partially disabled with chronic asthma and osteoporosis in the spine. However apart from.having someone to cut the lawns,I manage everything else.I think it must look like a scene from.a laurel and harder film if mum.and I are tackling anything tricky!
Main thing is that I love what I do ,still make mistakes after 30 years of gardening but the thrill of getting something just right is great.
Fab plants penstemon,heuchera,hosts cranesbill geranium and just found gaura.
I have a son of 30 who is into gardening but his talents cover vegetable growing.much better than me who can manage a few carrots and beetroot.
