It looks like birds foot trefoil Shirl?

It is quite a shrub Karensusan, almost a small tree now! Do b.f.t grow like that?

No don't think it is broom Janeplant, I have two of those & this is nothing like them.
This has pea-like flowers, pods like peas but papery and very fine little leaves.

All plants with pea type flowers have pods, including wisteria. I think your shrub might be a colutea?

oh! yes shirlwhirl, it sure does look like colutea... like Andrewr commented.....
