Sunbathing Blackbird

The female blackbird wrapped her wings round one side, which, did look very affective, as the wording was visible. A little Dunnock wedged itself in at the side to have a rest in the sun. The male blackbird in the photo, was very territorial and wouldn't allow other birds to share any part of the garden, they had to visit when he wasn't arround!

lol...they are amazing how they react to each other...
i had great fun watching the birds back and forth with bits of all kinds in their beaks...for nest building...
i was out walking one day...no trees around complete empty space...when a small twig fell straight to the floor at my feet... i concluded a bird had dropped it...
