Is this the same way you do your cuttings John?

I use plastic milk bottle tops, turned upside down in flowerpots over the hole.
Have also used used teabags over the hole as drainage.
I might have put these tips on before I think! :)

Not heard of using either of these.
But interested in the tea bag method Shirl.
Did you notice any difference?

Well, not in results, but a tidy way to block up the hole & still have drainage.
Planting is a bit hit & miss with me I'm afraid!! :)

Hi Kath, good idea to use the tops of tubs to stand the pots on /in, allows you to water, but they don't stand in water, Derek.
