Thanks Kath, agree with Karen it is a lovely structure, but the problem I have is not with a rose bed more with roses individually in borders. Think though something along the lines of this would work for my wayward roses. It would just be a lot smaller. I shall have to get my thinking cap on this winter and the saw and screws out. lol thanks again for posting - very kind of you.

I like this structure and, having seen it I am now planning to make a small one for my Munstead Wood which tends to flop about, so thanks Scotkat. Olive, my "pylon" structure is similar in shape but much slimmer and taller, and meets in a small square shape at the top. I'll try to get a picture up but have rather forgotten how!

At Sissinghurst they use roughly woven hazel 'cloches' ....like domes. I think they are much prettier and they are also smaller and less imposing. I would try that Mum...if you can get your hands on some willow or hazel. I'll see if I can find a pic. for you....

What you really want/need is some posh obelisks like the ones Chris made at Glamis! lol...I wish!

But these ones are not the ones I meant. The ones you would love are I the Italian Garden. I will get pics next week. It's time I did a Glamis blog anyway!

it's a nice structure...it will look better once the rose has grown a bit more.
