I know not much left, you will soon have plenty to cut. Well next year plenty. That is until the borders arrive. lol. Paul wouldn't buy me a sit on mower so I had to get rid of it all now didn't I!

That will teach him! Lol!

Funnily enough he bought a secondhand one to cut the grass in the field, had to build a bridge to get it into the field though. What are they like men!!!

Lol! What a larf!

Fangyouverymuch (said in a Tommy Cooper voice) on behalf of all men. ;-)

My mate, who delivered for a local off-licence in Chiswick, west London, was delivering a box of whisky a week at Tommy's house.
Tommy was self-medicating to relieve chronic & constant back pain!
He always drank himself to sleep every night.

Poor tommy!
13 Sep, 2013
He had to have a leather contraption for his back to enable him to stand up straight.
He was a funny sight, driving around Chiswick on his 50cc moped.
He reminded me of a circus bear on those mini-bikes, because he was such a huge man. Lol.

Mum....you'll never believe this...(you so will!). Having been 'advised' by OH a few days ago, that my new greenhouse 'will need to wait' (eh em, we'll see about that...), last night OH very intently busy on IPad...'what are you looking at?' Says me....'well, I was thinking, that there is far too much grass in the new garden to cut with a hover mower, so I've been researching RIDE ON MOWERS....". aye that'll be right" says I...."you'll be getting a ride on mower to cut the grass through the winter (eh em) while all my precious tender plants bite the dust!..... I think not!" I've just been biding my time since the greenhouse conversation....of course we knew it was only a matter of days didn't we? Lol!

lol we can so read him like a book lol. Hope you didn't tell him we were one step in front of him. lol. He could always have sheep tell him. lol. What are they like!!!! :O)
16 Sep, 2013
No, I never told him that we could see that one coming a mile off! Lol! Poor Scott.....;)

I did think you could maybe have three or four chickens in a little moveable chicken coupe, you would have fresh eggs then for your brekkie every day. It would have to be moveable or they would wear the grass away. :O)
16 Sep, 2013
Lol....I don't eat eggs any more Mum! Scott does occasionally, but it wouldn't be worth us having hens. The foxes and the JRT would have them! my friend Janet lives just down the road...she'll sell me her eggs, lamb, pork, alpaca wool, etc etc! SHe's a proper smallholder these days. She used to live next door but one to me here...her OH is a vet. Now they have about 30 sheep, four alpacas, 12 or so hens, two dogs, two cats...it will probably be ducks next if they haven't got them yet! I am really happy that we are moving near her, she's a great girl. Another very dear friend of mine for about 20 years now, Kathy, lives on the same road, but at the other end of the hamlet. So I shall be near to two very good friends.....it will be lovely!

Every once in a while the cosmos tilts, just a smidgeon, to redress an imbalance. ;-)
17 Sep, 2013
Yes! That must be it Mouldy! :)
17 Sep, 2013
Just a smidgeon...to the cosmos.
Life-enhancing to an individual.
If I was a gambler I'd bet money you're on a very lucky streak, Karen. ;-)
18 Sep, 2013
Maybe she should play the lottery this weekend!!
18 Sep, 2013
Won a tenner last weekend on it Mum...so yes, a lucky streak, but sadly not a profitable one! Lol!
18 Sep, 2013
Say's who, Karen? :-)
18 Sep, 2013
Well, we'll see...moving house is very expensive on the wallet, but the dividends will be great in other ways! :))
