This is my favorite H. arborescens variety, I like how the flower petals look like they are stacked in layers. From far away they don't look like much but the flowers really look neat up close. These ones aren't all the way open yet and not sure if they will be before we get a frost.

Very pretty. I planted a little hydrangea with pale pink flowers like these last year, called "moi et toi", or something like that. It has grown, but, no flowers this year.

Is it a Hydrangea arborescens variety? I started this one from a cutting last year and it has grown pretty fast considering this is a much smaller variety than Annabelle. It really took off after I gave it some fertilizer early in the summer. If I hadn't I don't know if it would have flowered this year, I expected the flowers to open in May or June and they just opened. It will probably flower for you next year, if you don't see flower buds by the end of May give it some fertilizer and you should definitely get some flowers.

I don't know, Rkwright. I bought it off a market stall, with a barely legible hand-written label. It was the flowers which attracted me.
I might have been a bit previous with the secateurs this spring...
I'll give it a bit more TLC next year and let you know how it goes. :)
