How lovely...it's quite special isn't it? mine is flowering now too, but as usual, something has munched it. I'm sure it's earwigs you know. The leaves on my buddleia Santana are like lace again this year. I'll be glad to get away from them. They're not as bad this year, but they are still found under every pot with their families of young ones. I really can't stand them. Did you hear GQT last week? A lady asked about them and the panel really poo-pood the idea that it was earwigs that were eating her plants......not me...I was shouting at the radio....again. Sometimes GQT drives me quite mad!

Kirengeshoma palmata i had never seen or heard of before.... so did the google search thing to fine out more...

on images i saw the plant in full bloom and thought it looked like starfish... same amount of arms.... loved it...

Cottage, I don't suffer from earwigs thank goodness but you have my sympathy. x

Spritz how I wish I had the room and the shady moist conditions to grow this, it looks lovely.

Hi Barbara reminds me of abutilon, is it hardier?
I heard GQT too Karen ... now I don't know if this helps, but ear wigs are marvellous mothers, probably the best in the insect world ....no? oh well I tried:-))

It is hardy, Ba. It likes a shady spot.

Karen the problem is Viburnum Beetle they produce thousands of minute Caterpillars on the underside of the leaf they can be controlled by spraying but needs doing twice before you even see a hole in the leaf.
I have the same problem, some years I remember to spray and they are alright.

mine were stunning this year. they did themselves proud.
its a fav plant, such a nice soft colour too,
