2nd Sunflower plant and whats left of the Tagetes I cut back

the sunflowers look very tall and sets your garden off nicely :) along with flowerbeds

When this one first attained a good height, it was broken in two by strong winds so I decided to tie them both to some bamboo canes.

I shall save you some seeds Janetplant. A neighbour of mine gave me these two plants from seeds he got from 2012. They were small plants when he brought them over and he was very surprised to see that the ones he gave me, surpassed his this year. Up until April, I had never planted these before. A very easy plant to grow, altough I think that they both benefitted greatly from my richly fed borders.

wow! lovley nice tall sunflowers they look fab! I also grow very tall yellow rudbeckia they are good for height and nice colour in the garden in autumn

Anci...I can send you some of the Sunflower seeds if you want some for next year. Do the Rudbeckia look like Sunflowers as I have something that resembles the Sunflowers in my border. The flower heads are smaller though and do have a colouring of red, black and yellow flowerheads. xxx
