My Bo Fig just put out new leaves a couple of weeks ago. It goes very briefly deciduous (and grows new leaves as it going deciduous) in summer.

It's been in a pot for many years (I think 14 years) and kept small. For some reason its been loosing its leaves in late summer instead of the normal spring time, for the last 3 or 4 years (not sure what that's about).
Most Ficus species can be especially messy when they start dropping figs by the many thousands, everywhere. Right now my large Ficus cyathistipula, which has golf-ball sized figs are all over my backyard and side walk.
Bo tree becomes a very large tree here (like most other Ficus species), also. I have some large, old trees posted on GoY. There's hundreds of trees planted in Balboa Park and at the San Diego Zoo. I think they are much larger where you live, because they're native to your part of the world. The oldest Ficus religiosa trees here are most likely around 100 years old.

How old is it ? They become huge trees over here. There is a tree right in front of my office , we park our cars under it. It becomes messy when it sheds its leaves in March- April before putting on new shiny ones!
