I do not have any other bush roses but in a former house a neighbour grew this as a hedge. This is a lovely bowl shaped flower of a superb clear pink. It is more than two foot taller than the 8ft fence behind it and it is totally self supporting. It is often still in flower on Christmas day. It is a good cut flower. My neighbour told me the secret of having flowers all the way up the plant is to prune the individual branches to different heights. It works a treat.

thats really nice to be flowering then...some rose bushes do get good heights to them...like in the painting My Sweet Rose (Soul of the Rose) by Waterhouse

Thank you Jane I had to look up both artist and painting. It is lovely. He was well known for his paintings of powerful or doomed women. This rose was named for the late Queen Mother and she was definitely a role model for many. She would have been too young to be one of his subjects but the painting is reminiscent of her.
