Brought the whole plant Scotsgran! He is hoping to get a swap nearer to us and being that it's a rented house he doesn't want to leave any of the plants he's bought.
I'll gradually bring some of them along here. They can settle in here meantime.

He has great taste. Hope he is successful in finding something closer to you.

Was up there on Monday - bought a new Viburnum to replace a Hydrangea that's had it's day!
It's amazing how autumnal it is up there - my garden is still very green as you can see in the picture above the Acer hasn't even began changing yet!
I was thanking him for persuading me to buy the Heptacodium a couple of years back. It has flowered for the first time and it's a lovely shrub. Scented too!

It does make a huge difference to talk to a real Plantsman as opposed to a GC helper. Some of them are knowledgeable but not all.

I wish ours would flower like that, nothing this year again, not sure what we are doing wrong!!

The one I bought (brunette) is a huge disappointment too. The way he gardens is that he doesn't!! Maybe needs neglect.
