Rhododendron Bush

Rhododendron Bush

I got this rhododendron bush from the salvage pile of a big box store for a couple bucks and it was just a half dead stick. Now it's a happy plant.

Thanks Janeplant. I wanted to show that each bloom is actually a small bouquet plus I love playing around in Photoshop - let's be honest, LOL!

It's such a Fab colour Bathgate and a credit to you to revive it from a stick too! Is it in a pot?

Thanks Petaltracey I have it growing in the ground on the west facing side of my house. It likes part sun and part shade so that location is perfect for it. It's a broad leaf evergreen and looks great in the winter against the browns and the grays. Thank you!

LOL same for me Suey187. I remember growing up that no matter what I was doing, there was always one of these bushes growing nearby. Aren't they just spectacular when in bloom?? They come in all different colors. I think this is my favorite too.

Very nice rhododendron, I like the dark blotch in the flowers. Do you grow any mountain laurels? I remember seeing them everywhere in Pennsylvania, New York and Connecticut and couldn't believe how huge some of them were.
