Phormium 'Jester'

I have this one Annella It came through last winter well which surprised me !

I usually have no trouble with them in the front garden Amy, fingers crossed for this one :o)

Thats good news ,Do you protect yours Annella ? we lost so many plants last year I'm being over cautious !

Not out the front Amy but having said that this is the first time I have tried planting a Phormium in the ground :o)

Ours are in pots Annella all except one new one in the ground last year ,we put some of those plant protectors from Wilkinsons over them even then they took a while to stand upright in the spring ...

That will look good out the front - the leaves will pick up on the colour of the flowers you have out there. Very nice!

Amy what are the plant protectors that you mention... sorry to "butt"in your blog Annie.I've never protected mine in the winter... even last year they were ok!

I never protected mine here either. You should see them now. They are in the walled garden at Glamis castle. they are huge! And flowered this year too! This one looks a cracker Annie, and what a bargain!

That's a really good bargain Annella. I did see those in Morrisons, but they were still £5. Seems I'm never there at the right time! -:( -:)

The nice lady was reducing them as I walked in Helenium :o)

I will be there again on Sun, will have another look :-)

Just moved mine to a better place, few days ago, seems happier already!
