This Lilac is stunning in Summer - It has such a poignant fragrance. It's situated close to the front door and always starts a conversation with visitors to the house! :o)))

beautifull lilac think this one one is Syringa x josiflexa "Bellicent" A hybrid china x transylvania from Ottawa 1940s XX would that be right?

Thanks Anci - I had no idea at what variety this Lilac is... It was planted up on a raised border and has grown huge...! OH wants to cut it right back - I just hope we don't loose it as I love the bell like flowers and even more so the beautiful perfume :o))) Thanks for the info - I'll look into it :o)

Nooooo.......Don't let hubby butcher it!!! They take ages to come into flower from planting. I may just have to beg a little cutting of this one its gorgeous!!
