Just at its start in July, it seems the side of the garden that I picked for hot and dry in the sun, is actually wet and still a little shady for those sun loving things. About half the size and half the blooms, still bright and thrilling. The rhubarb is already pushing one side into deep shade so may not be the best spot, but I'm letting it settle in anyway.

Thank you. It was so big and bright last year that I was less enthused, but it survived moving. That would be the main thing.

does it grow well from seeds?

It may. I have never let it go, I usually take the seed heads unripened to lengthen my already short season and keep it stronger. The Lychnis chalcedonica does best here and spreads, but I think we divide the clump usually. Some plants can't develop seed in our short summers, this may be one of those. Never heard of a 'volunteer' yet, like my artemisia. Lunchis is not hard to start from seed I believe once you have them.
