Massonia pustulata In Bud.

Massonia pustulata In Bud.

Almost five years after sowing the seed of this South African bulbous plant and growing on in my bay window, these fine, broad, slightly warty leaves and buds have appeared, almost eight inches across, I am amazed and biting my lips anticipating that the buds will open fully. I have touched wood and now am keeping my fingers crossed. May the God of all Green Things look with favor upon my endeavors.

Hello Jane, yes - a low cluster of whitish to pinkish allium-like blossoms. If you Google 'Massonia' images there are hundreds of them to be seen in six different species.
