I really like your Red Sunset Maple Bathgate - I saw a close up of the leaves in a previous picture! :o) I love the shape of Maple leaves too.

Thanks Petaltracey. It's a great looking tree all year long. In the spring it is covered with little red flowers and looks like a cloud, but in Autumn, it takes center stage. I'm waiting for the color to peak to post more photos of it.

How long has it been planted? Do they take a while to become established?

Well I planted this tree about 6 years ago. It was only 5 feet tall. It's now about 20 feet. It's a fast grower. It was up and running by the next growing season. It has already been through two major hurricanes, a tornado, and a minor earthquake - still standing strong. They are very thirsty trees though, but you can't beat the autumn display.
