Hi Jane
It is a special one , hard to get hold off its so slow to bulk up, I dont know a true white with daylilys , lots of people are trying though.
Galaxy Cream is a 2013 intro but $100 to buy and more as its only in America at the moment to think all the named varieties start from one seed and then grown on and split no wonder you cant get hold of most of them for years or not at all.
thanks .... Gg

but if white it would still have markings??

they all tend to have a hint of lemon colour when you really look at them , the other hemeroholics may shed more light on the subject than me I have only been keeping them past 3/4 years
so I dont know to be honest.

I think when some plants acclimate to your garden, they could take on different characteristics based on various factors - soil composite, lighting, etc. Once I thought I was buying a white Heather plant, once in my garden, it turned purple. I absolutely love the color of your Icicle Day lily and would want it to stay this color forever.

Hi
I have never seen any pink and I totally agree with you
and you are right about soil etc
Thanks Gg

The registered colour is always how it appears in the field of the hybridizer. Bathgate is right that each area has a contributing factor. I have a seedling from someone in Germany, and for him it is orange cream while I get brown (I like it better in brown). There are no white or blue daylilies, but everyone keeps trying. It is a lot like the white tomato which is a very pale yellow (I just got seeds for next year of it).
This one does have the chartreuse throat which I really like. Most green daylilies do better in colder climates than mine.
