1.11.13 A photo taken in North East Somerset in my daughters garden. It tried to flower last year but the buds did not open. This year it has been spectacular. It is 8' tall.

I googled this and it is said to flower only once every seven years. Another description said it would be flowering at age three so I will keep my fingers crossed that the baby she gave me a couple of years ago will flower next year. It was an offset of this one. This definitely had a flower spike last year it just did not come out in flower. She has definitely inherited green fingers. Her Fatsia japonica flowers every year. Unfortunately her cordyline died after flowering due to the bad weather last year. Her Windmill Palm, Trachycarpus fortunei also flowers profusely. It all looks quite tropical.
