Same here, Andy. It's a common shrub in gardens these days for the same reason. I really need to add a few more of these around my own garden. They are the hardiest things.

Yes, very drought tolerant and hardy. In fact, I don't think they like too much water or they may rot.

I think you're right there. They don't like the wet season here much, and really need good drainage.
