It is quite lovely, Alexandramou. As it ages it changes from orange, to golden yellow to creamy white. You can see some of this in the photo above. The scent is beautiful too.

This is the first of this variety for me, Andy, and I'm completely smitten. It's so hardy and blooms several times a year, and of course the perfume is just brilliant.

I love Gardenia carinata and taitensis. They're my favorites! I've seen huge 60' (18m) tall trees of G. carinata in Hawaii with thousands or millions of flowers covering the trees. The fragrance is out of this world.

Goodness, the perfume in the air must be overwhelming from a tree that tall and covered in blooms. How magnificent.

The fragrance was too awesome to explain. I wanted to eat the tree! LOL! It was such a sweet smell it made me hungry.
