Budded Forsythia branches sway in the wind with the promise of a spectacular spring display.

Yes, I love it too; It's one of the most carefree and forgiving shrubs that I own. You can cut a few branches, in mid-winter, put them in a vase and they will bloom for you in your house and last a couple weeks.

Yes I used to do that when I lived in the old cottage, but my present shrub in this garden is rather small.
