I must admit, I really dislike this plant all year UNTIL December comes, and then I LOVE it!

Me too!Did think of taking our out.... but then...one mass of beautiful yellow flowers, plus the fact that blackbirds nest in there! So she's staying :-)

Yes I have to agree I hate it all year until now when it turns on a special appearance.
And it's so old it would be hard to dig out.
Also there is a nest.

Funny how some plants like to show off when most plants in the garden are looking dull.
