This was an unexpected surprise, Meanie. I thought I had lost it after the great cyclone of 2011, but almost 2 years later it suddenly appeared and has been climbing for the clouds.

Lost all mine to mice last winter!

That's sad news. No tubers left at all?

There were remnants of tubers, but none of them grew. Twelve large tubers - I hope they got stomach ache (at the very least)!
I restarted again this year and have five tubers for 2014, plus some yellow ones too that Surreylad sent me.

Ha, I'm laughing at the image of little mice rolling around with stomach aches. Serves them right!
Have you got an idea how to stop the mice nibbling on your new tubers? Hopefully all will go well, and you will see some fabulous blooms next year.

They're properly wrapped up and safe this year.
