This is Paul's scarlet which I put in end of last year, I'm trying to grow as much as I can on this large stone wall which belongs to the pub next door. I've tried a wall hydrangea but I think it's missing the sun. Any ideas?

I'm hoping to plant a virginia creeper in Autumn, nearer the house, so that it grows across the part of the wall that has no garden below it.

Your climbing hydrangea will take a year or two to settle in, then it will reward your patience with masses of growth and lovely flowers.
