We have four now, we are fit to burst, it is like having my children young again, bedlam at meals times.

Beautiful pussycat. Know what you mean about fabric - claws! Dusty likes to drag herself along the bottom of the sofa...little minx, and she takes her rolled up bits of paper on to the bedcover so we have a drawn thread bedspread.

We have four now, three of which decided they liked us, so moved in. It is a lot of cat food and one of them Wonky, has been to the vet many times in the year we have had him. Wonky and Ellie love clawing the foot stool and chewing the corner of the rug, it is lovely to watch them play, they all had bad starts in life and it has taken lots of love and caring to get them this far. They all love being in the garden with me, they have decided to help me dig the garden!!!!!

Dusty was a rescue cat and had a traumatic time but we have given her love and stability and I have never ever known a cat purr so much.

Clawdia has a very loud purr and she is so clingy, she demands cuddles most of the time and when my husband and I have a cuddle on the sofa, she is there like a shot and manages to have her body on both of us. We think she was shut in and then when they found out that she peed indoors chucked her out, she is petrified of being put out she holds on like a limpet, but if she really needs a wee she is fine and she has started to go out on her own now. Love and time and plenty of them.

Dusty had never gone out and now does so but it has taken her a while to be confident in doing so. She did start to chase the birds but we have taught her not to by grumbling at her when we have seen her and now she just ignores them. Our other Siamese we used to have, after us doing the same, used to sit and let the birds hop around her.

I am not so lucky mine do stalk but little else and Ellie did bring some home when she was younger but she has arthitus now. Wonky has sudenly come to life now that his health is improving, he wants to play most of the day and some of the night.

It is in an animals nature to catch their prey Lemondog. Survival at its best and quite normal really. Dusty used to play with her balls of rolled up paper during the night and sleep in the day, but now she spends time with us in the day and sleeps most of the night, although she does catnap in the day too. Cats sleep a lot don't they.

23 Jan, 2014

Yes they do, Ellie can outsleep my husband and that is amazing my husband likes his bed. They are 5 cats in the house right now, Pest is a lovely large black and white tom, who has been coming here for food since he ws very little, do not think he has a home, my Ginger is also a large tom who still has his bits, so you can imagine what happens when they meet. I have been trying to persuade my husband to take him to the vets but so far no luck but he will have to be done and sooner rather than later.

It's a good idea to have the toms neutered as they can get into fights and come home with injuries. Also they can help produce unwanted kittens elsewhere too. (Ginger I hope you have your paws over your ears!) Looks like your cats love you a lot for taking care of them all.

Ginger has calmed down a lot later but i am still getting him done, I assume Clawdia has been done but we will have to check with the vet, she needs to have a all over check , and we will need extra flea control, as the vet only gives us enough to do a couple of months at a time, they were immune to frontline, but this does everything all pests and parasite, internal and external, so it is worth the money. Wonky goes from strength to strength, he is now the livelist cat in our house, wonderful.
